This is really great! Only one thing kept me from downloading it: the JPEG was overcompressed so the picture doesn't look as crisp as it could look. Please use PNG.

Yor're right the compression was too heavy on this one, I replaced the the jpg with a much nicer png

Did you take the picture yourself? If so, what camera did you use and how did you take it (close to the flower with the camera or zoom)?
I tried something like this, but the image was unsharp and very unsaturated...

i used a cheap old 2MP Canon cammera. Try using the macro mode - this should help with the picture being out of focus. As to the saturaton problem - either shoot where there is a lot of light ot try playing with levels/channels in Gimp/Photoshop
