A detailed review of the KNemo 0.4.7 can be found at Softpedia:
http://www.softpedia.com/reviews/linux/KNemo-Review-53310.shtml

KNemo offers a network monitor similar to the one found in Windows. For every network interface it displays an icon in the systray. It can also optionally montor traffic statistics.

Changelog:

  • Find the interface of the default gateway again. (BR 328752)

  • Log statistics to the correct time if we're resuming from suspend. (BR 332086)

  • Fix translation word puzzles, missing contexts. (BR 329095, BR 329097)

  • Add an include to fix broken compilation when using libnl >= 3.2.26.

  • LicenseGPL

I'm using suse 9.1 and utf-8 is used by default. As I'm using a spanish localized version, where I should get accents I get two signs (squares). ¿Will you use utf-8 in the future?

    Keep up the good work!

    Hi,

here is a mail I got from Raul who did the spanish translation:

"I forgot to make the translation using Utf-8 instead of ISO and some characters aren't correct :(
As soon as I can I'll send you a correct translation (and a rpm for FC2) with the new strings too..."

It's the 0.18 version and comes with the Spanish translation corrected, (I talk with Raúl Moratalla the official translator to join efforts)

    Greetings and bye

For all spanish users not using Debian here are 2 links to Pedros fixed po-files. Put them into the folder po/es/ and install them with 'make install' to get the fixed translation.

I'm using Suse 9.1 and after copy the files into /po/es, and then make install, characters are still incorrect.

Is curious but when I open the files with kwrite, characters are incorrect, but when I open the files with emacs emacs or any non-kde application, characters are ok :(

I have tried to edit the files manually with kwrite and make install again but no luck. Also I have tried to change the line
    "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso 8859-1\n" to "...charset=utf-8" but nothing.

    Hi,

just installed KNemo via Gentoo eBuild. My wireless interface has an ESSID with several dots, but only the part before the first dot is shown.

It's only a small thing and should be easy to fix. KNemo ist great!

    Hello there.

I am getting the following error message when trying to install on to Mandrake 10 OE ( I have already carried out your instructions ref special note about Mandrake 10 )

:-checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.2) (library qt-mt) not found. Please check your installation!

I have Qt3.3 installed but cannot find this library qt-mt in anything.

Any help welcome please since I am using ADSL through LAN so have no indications of what is happening when connected (all the time). Your Apps would seem to fit the bill.

    Cheers. John.

    Hi John,

seems to be a general problem with your Qt setup. Take a look at the file 'config.log' and search for the position where there is a check for Qt. You should find some sort of error that occured while doing the check.

This should help you fix the issue or post the relevant parts here so we can take a look at it.
