Description:

Karmack is an amusing CPU load monitor applet for the KDE kicker bar which uses the the form of the classic Doom game's marine face. The poor guy will bleed when your machine is heavily used. Other effects are triggered on different window manager actions.

Changelog:

karmack is now theme-able!
Configurable background color.

 No images + crashes

Hi. I installed karmack a while ago, and I can't get it to work. First I had some troubles with a .la file, which I apparently later fixed. But now when I add the karmack applet to the kicker, it doesnt show any pictures at all. Also, it crashes the kicker if I double or right click a couple of times the area where karmack is supposed to be. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I'm a newbie, so it's better to explain a lot :)

Really cool ! There seems to be too much latency, though. The guy's still almost dead five seconds after cpu usage dropped from 100% to 0%. Maybe there should be an option to change the update interval ?

I got these errors too, it's because you haven't installed kdebase* (don't remember full name). I used MandrakeControlCenter to install the kdebase*. I don't get those errors anymore but I still can't get the applet to show up. I even played around with changing the install directories (done by passsing stuff to configure) from '/usr/local' to '/usr/share'. I really want to use this applet!
