Description:

God is not about his worship.

It's not about his praise, his glory, or his righteousness.

God is not about religion.

It's not about his followers, or some obscure messages from a book which claims to be his word.

It's certainly not about spreading his message through crappy wallpaper.

God is about how we live our lives. We choose to live good or bad, in anger or in peace, with open minds or closed. Our ways affect others not through our voice, but through our actions. Our god is our world by our choices.

---

A Psalm on wallpaper does not spread the voice of God. It only has meaning to those who already believe what you believe.

Don't talk about God.

Let your actions be the voice of god.

How about a wallpaper making fun of Jews. We all hate the Jews, right? How about one poking fun at Islamics? Better yet, how about one making fun of Hinduism? They're a funny bunch.

Sarcasim aside, why is it that these wallpapers would all be considered crossing a line, but with Christianity it seems ok?

I think you are missing the point "browntim" is trying to make. He is obviously making fun of Tim Brown and his continuing flow of ghastly wallpapers and not of Christianity itself.

 Unneaded

The question one must ask is not what, but why? Why on earth do a world community of KDE users need a wallpaper of any religion? There will always someone disgruntled about it.

Thus my point : it is unneaded, ugly, pointless crap. Honestly, is there anyone out there who would use a wallpaper looking like 3-year old scriblings, with religion bolted onto it just to get reaction? Go to a decent digi wallpaper site (ahem, digitallblasphemy) and see what is style. THIS IS NOT STYLE!!!!

 My Fellow Christians

As a thriving Christian, I must say that I agree with the message that the wallpaper portrays.

Though, I would have used slightly different verbage, such as:

"Repent! Fuckmunch, or I will jail-rape you like the bitch that you are! I will chew out your eye balls and skull fuck you! Repent!

I enjoy KDE-LOOK. I do not get to visit very often, and (not being artistically capable of creating a cool wallpaper) never bothered to post. However, I saw this horrific wallpaper and decided I had to read to find out what was up. Truthfully, with the exception of Syntruth, Flanders, and Linuster, I think you have all gone mad over this one.

This is my first visit in a long time, and I generally look at only the stuff that gets really good ratings. Thus, I had never seen any of TB's "artwork", but once I read a post telling the saga, I totally see the satirical intention behind the piece. So, the next thing that I did was look at sone of the real TB's work and read the comments on it. I must say, even as a born-again christian, I was more offended by TB than I was by this wallpaper. This is supposed to be a sight where truly talented digi-artists can show off their stuff. TB is not blessed with these gifts. I also found a very nicely done, christianity-oriented piece (I give the benefit of the doubt to the poster that he/she thought this was a place to show off your wallpaper regardless of where you got it or its copyright status). Before the community realized that it was copyrighted (and not original) material, it was received well even by those who disagreed with its message. Of course there were believers in lazy gods, " . . .name one time in histroy where god got of his fat ass and did something for us. (you know he doesn't exist right. and the worlds not flat, and the moon isn't a big star)" and a few very confused individules who can't distinguish between their own relfection, ". . .Oh wait, thats not a dung slinging primate," and a total stranger, ". . . thats a Christian." Yet, the overall response was peacable. So, I do not think the majority of this community is christian-bashers as some have suggested. I think that a man who obviously needs to pray about his actions and methods, has really pissed some people off by abusing the site simply to spread the gospel.

I know that God exists, anyone who does not should visit the beautiful places of the world and look at the amazing, complex creatures and systems of earth. Then they would see that such things were and are by design, but if your going to post wallpapers on this forum as an evangelical statement. . . They should be damn gorgeous wallpapers that someone would be proud to have and not some God-awful crap your three year-old gave your wife to put on the fridge. I think this whole thing has gone far enough and hope everyone gets back to enjoying the good submissions. The Bible I read teaches me to treat others like I want to be treated, to live peacible if possible, and (yes) to tell others. However, I ain't found a scripture that says if you tell 'em and they push you away, beat 'em over the head with it. Hmmmmmmmmmm. . . . .must be missing that page.

Tim, bud, if your out there. . .

The Bible also says that if you go into a city and preach the name of Christ and the people of the city are not hospitable, you are to come out of that city, stamp the dust of it from your feet as a curse to that city and leave the place. Hoss, I think these people are telling you to go stamp the dust off yo'r feet.
