Description:

An extended version of the original devicenotifier-applet which mounts the new media after it was inserted.

The volumes are mounted with special options for every filesystem. I will make these options configurable in later versions of the applet. This will be the goal for the next version but it's complicated because I have to seperate the user-interface and translations from the original plasmoid.

Changelog:

Version 0.1
- initial version with automount
Version 0.2
- opens the default-application for the detected mimetype (should be normally inode/directory)
Version 0.3
- support for kde4.2

 Brilliant addition

I can't believe this feature isn't implemented in the default plasmoid.

Since amarok2 doesn't automatically mount external drives containing the media library this'll save me having to manually mount the drive to listen to my tunes.

Thank you.

 Why a fork?

Why are you not improving the original plasmoid in kde-svn? Or is there a reason for this fork?
you can submit your patches to http://reviewboard.vidsolbach.de/r/ or ask for a svn account here http://techbase.kde.org/Contribute/Get_a_SVN_Account

Hi,
I installed the new plasmoid, great job, but I've annoying problems with it: for some reason it starts dolphin non-localized (I'm from Italy) and with a different aspect from the one I'm used to (different font, settings, resources list etc.). Any fix for this?
Moreover, I just think I don't want to automount devices anymore.
Does anyone know where and how can I download the old device notifier without automount? Please?

Silly me,
it's not dolphin, it's nautilus. That's why it was different. Solved the problem uninstalling nautilus.

This should be listed under Plasmoid Binaries.

Hi Theere, Great Job , With this Version of "Devices Notifier" and the Automount.

I just wanna know , why , its Open Nautilus , and not Dolphin ??

I dont goes to uninstall nautilus , because i use Both Desktops. and Gnome , need Nautilus ( Its similar to Plasma-Desktop ) to show the Desktop and Icons.

I can edit some config file, to change Nautilus to Dolphin ???

Thanks by all.
