All credits go the original designer - dilomo for his work on the New Wave theme. I have done nothing substantial here - just grayscaled the images and replaced the logo with the gentoo logo. Here are the instructions on how to install the theme (also copied from dilomo).

Installation
Installation:

1. Unpack files to /usr/share/gnome-screensaver/. If you update you should replace all old files with the new ones. You may exclude the README file.

2. Open gconf-editor (Alt+F2, type it and press enter) change the entry apps/gnome-screensaver/lock_dialog_theme from \'default\' to \'newwave\'

3. Enjoy!

To enjoy this theme fully I recommend using a picture of your choice of size 96x96 px. You could change your current one by going to System > Preference > About Me and click on the button besides your name.

If you want to get back you old theme you should do step 3 in reverse: replace \'newwave\' with \'default\'\"

I tested it with 9, and it worked good, very nice work.

Now that I have Fedora 10, I want to put it on too, but lock screen is not black, do you think theres a way to get rid of the Fedora 10 image and make it black as usual, otherwise it doesn look good.

I also have the fedora image as a BG instead of black. I have been searching the net feverishly for an answer. No luck yet, any help would be appreciated.

Dunno About the actual dialog it self but to change the background u just need to edit a xml file... this changes not only the Login Background but also the screensaver background...
