Description:

A simple combination of light and dark.

Includes the "Glow" metacity and XFCE window themes by fmrbpensador and ochosi respectively.

(Guys, any issues with my distributing these, please let me know, I have left any credits/copyright messages intact)

All comments and suggestions are welcome. Please try to keep them constructive (it really helps). Also, I would appreciate it if you could try it before rating. It tends to look different from the screenshots.

There is no emerald theme. I would recommend that one use gtk-window-decorator in compiz[-fusion]/beryl.
If someone is interested in creating an emerald theme, I would be happy (and grateful) to include it.

To prevent transparency in gtk-window-decorator (in a terminal):

gconftool -s /apps/gwd/metacity_theme_opacity -t float 1

hey

this theme is really nice. It is one of the few themes that works well with eclipse. I suggest you make an emerald theme to go with the gtk theme.

I'm really not familiar with making emerald themes. If someones' ready to make one, I'll be happy to include it.

I use this with compiz fusion and the gtk-window-decorator. It works pretty much the same as emerald.

 Window Border Opacity

by GreySim on: Sep 12 2008

If you wanted to make your inactive windows not transparent, so the border still blends with the menubar, there's a key in gconf-editor you can change. The application is gwd, and the key is something with opacity in the name, IIRC. I believe it's set to like 0.75 by default, all I remember for sure is you want to change it to 1.

 Some issues

by NotKnown on: Sep 18 2008

Hi, very good theme. There's something which I think can be improved though:

1: Applications menu text becomes grey (mostly unreadable) when you click on it.

2: Windows on the panel becomes white when you hover the mouse over, it doesn't go very well with the stylish blue/grey color.

3: The button to view the history from the adress bar in Firefox is black/grey while everything else is white. Also including the history.

4: If you click on the clock/date applet on the panel the week and day text can be quite unreadable.

That's everything I've found :)
