looks okay, but i must tell you windows sucks, the windows gui sucks, and a stable version of windows has yet to exist. Windows XP is supposed to be stable. Windows slowly disintegrates until it implodes and stops working (assuming it ever did). It
a) ruins your hard drive.
b) renders your machine unbootable
c) attempts to upgrade itself with bugfixes that only add new bugs
d) permits programs to reveal your personal stuff to others.
e) crashes
f) does something that causes you to bang your head on a hard object until you suffer a concussion severe enough to render you unconcious, then you come to, throw the computer off a high rise, and proceed to jump after it. I should know. About 1 in 2 to 1 in 5 times i use windows, i come across some error/crash/lockup/nuisance that i feel should not be there. now the windows control panel won't work. i have to search for the cpl files to change anything. it used to be you could just reinstall windows, but it doesn't work that way anymore. Pretty much now, you either find a new OS (not a "new" version of windows) Most unixs are better than windows, though some didn't turn out. (m$ even made "Xenix", which didn't make it, and next step didn't make it either) but linux is currently the most rapidly growing operating system in the world, in users, not size, as is windows (oh yeah, its a big bloat of code. the hundreds of meg required for windows can be replaced with a superior operating system on a superior filesystem.) in the same space even a basic windows xp copy takes, you can install a reasonable distro of linux, with a bunch of extra software. maybe i should shut up and jump off the building again.

Are there actually any errors/crashes/lockups/nuisances that you feel should be there?

There is a small bug in the size of one of the pics that makes up the Ice-WM theme. To fix it simply go to the control panel and open up the window decorations section. Then click on Ice-WM and then the configure tab. Click on the link that will open Konqorer. Open the pixmaps folder and find the folder called XP and then open the file menuButtonA.xpm with gimp. Right click and select Scale Image from the Image menu. Scale the image to at least 27 pixels wide. Then reload the theme and it will get rid of the garbage. Repeat for the XPmetal folder except make it 26 pixels wide.

Guys..

We ALL hate M$ so much, we ALL want to get Windows off our entire list of users PC's, Linux and KDE interface is clearly SUPERIOR, GREAT, FUN, EXCITING, ETC...

But our users DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ELSE!!!, I prefer to start installing linux boxes with this Windows theme that having to mantain Windows XP in those computers.

Many of my users will never note the difference, because in XP they only open telnet terminals by double clicking a desktop Icon.. That will be exactly what they'll have but I'll be running Linux instead of XP.

This theme is GREAT for this kind of projects... Of course after some time using Linux and KDE, I will be able to change this theme to more stylish ones :)...

The importance of this theme(form many awful) is that is the key step to take users to Linux without complaints ... se what I mean???

The theme is GREAT!!!, keep working on this one, because I'll give many of us administrators the chance to "convert" many users to linux JEJEJE.

Greetings from Mexico
Augusto

it might be very usual for windows user who are trying to switch to linux, but i don't need this. I'm very new at linux, but like the look n feel (modifiable...?).

so I wont even test this, hate windows look and... well just hate windows (and evil m*crosoft ofcourse).

May the open source be with you.

I find this theme useful for introducing new users to linux. In a corporate environment familiarity is necessary.
