Thanks Alex!

About the fonts, I need to get truetypes working with them; I haven't messed with that since switching from RedHat to Suse 8.2.

I don't understand why some people like posting non-KDE/UNIX artwork here.

There are thousands of other places on the Web where you could do this at.

BTW, I say this to the porn posters, too.

Aye. Which makes me wish there was a way to ignore postings by people shoving their own views on everyone else, or for that matter, people who post distasteful or just plain lame artwork.

He needs to get a grip and go troll somewhere else.

I'm here for KDE/*nix related art-work -- there are *plenty* of "wall paper" places out there; go try Deviant Art, for example.

How can you two accuse him of trolling when you only posted just to criticize his work because of its Christian message.

If you do not like Christianity then leave it alone, I don't go around making fun of evolution just because some people believe in it and evolution unlike christianity is forced on people weather they want to hear about it or not.

Besides the blue outline, I think this is a
pretty good background. I would like to
see one that used a few shadows or
something, but in any case, I think it
looks better than the previous ones.

Thanks! I may not be what I could be, but I'm not what I was!

I've been looking and reviewing this one for quite some time, and I guess the nature of art is going to be it is "not for everyone". Certainly not those who don't know Christ.

Maybe I'll send the next one to you for review and suggestions?

Blessings, brother!

Tim

In Italy we would say: BAAASTAAAAA!!!!!

Why do you gon on posting this stuff? Do you really think you will spread christian belief thorugh these ugly and boring wallpapers?
If you are a real christian, just pray for all non-chrisitian people to be saved from the Mercy. Your work seems to be fanatic, not religious!

I'm christian, but I do not agree with you: you "use" the Bible for your aims. You'd rateher cease your "saint war".

"Christ is my LIFE"... OK, you're saying me that you and your mind are slaves of Christ. Just a mess, think that scientcists have demonstrated that God does *NOT* exists...

I can't believe that you feel free enough to use Linux and then chain your soul to a extremelly kiddy belief.

Pray, pray. Expend your life praying and going to church, you'll burn in hell if you aren't a slave and give your money to that sect. Perhaps someday you'll realize that you can be free and enjoy your sad life with your family instead of making ugly fanatic wallpapers.

God Bless America.

Scientists have proven that God doesn't exist? That's news to me.

While you are at it, please answer the following questions. You know, evolution is being tought as fact, so that shouldn't be a problem; any FACT has verifiable evidence...

In any given organism, what evolved first; the desire to eat, the capacity to eat, the ability to digest food, and the ability for the stomach to resist gastric acid?

How did organisms survive bleeding until coagulation evolved? Once coagulation (clotting) started to evolve, how did it stop before the entire animal clotted?

How did the IRREDUCABLY COMPLEX CELL come into being? Being irreducably complex, it couldn't live without being complete to begin with?

Oh, here's a really easy one; the Darwin fish. Where is the documented fossil? Or is that a hoax?

Please, I'd like answers...if there are any...

Takes greater faith to believe in evolution...where something came out of nothing and created itself???

It's all yours!

While I'm waiting for you to answer the above, I thought I'd add the following...

Well, let's see...The Bible has been verified as accurate through secular historians and archaeology (unlike other "religious books")...when it speaks of science, it has been proven accurate...even though the authors had no way of knowing *on thier own* that they were right...such as the earth being a globe hung on nothing...the hydrologic cycle, etc....

The Scriptures tell us that everything was made by a *Someone* which is what we *normally* expect...we don't normally expect SUV's to pop into being from nothing, do we...although that would be nice!

You know, I am an *Evangelical*, which has a 2000 year history. Our country was built on the faith I embrace. The majority of our founding fathers were evangelicals.

I don't go to church and give money to keep from going to Hell. I go to church to be with God's people because God has redeemed me. He has given me a heart that loves Him.

I used to be a very bitter guy. I had no room for GOd in my life. It wasn't preaching that got me, or anything like that connected to religion at all. In fact, it was the furthest thing from my mind. God intervened in my life directly. It wasn't till later that I found out that what happened to me was in the Bible.

So, I have a heart of thanks and worship for God. It's not 'religion' but a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, who is THE Way, THE Truth, and THE Life.

Again, I will be waiting for your response to the above message.

THanks and take care!

TIm

A new commandment I give to you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another.
(John 13:34-35 AKJV)

Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like to it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
(Mathew 22:37-40 AKJV)

Not every one that said to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.
Therefore whoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, which built his house on a rock:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell not: for it was founded on a rock.
And every one that hears these sayings of mine, and does them not, shall be likened to a foolish man, which built his house on the sand:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
(Mathew 7:21-27 AKJV)

Dietim, you proclaim to be a christian, but you sound like yer shuttin' a brother down when he does somethin' he has a passion for. That is not good. We as believers need to build up and edify each other not shutdown and be-little, even if the art is not the most appealing God said in Isaiah 55:11 "So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." He also told us in Romans 10:17 "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." and II Timothy 3:15-17 says "And that from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished to all good works."

 All right now...

Personally, I'm agnostic. But, I don't really mind people posting wallpapers like this one -- It seems like there is a group of people on this site who want something like that on their desktop, and really it doesn't bother me. Frankly, people who complain about Christians trying to force their beliefs on others (which I admittedly do, when I meet Christians who actually do that) and then turn around and yell that this stuff shouldn't be on this site are being hypocritical.

I find the wallpaper itself to be pretty nice looking, minus the message (which I don't believe in) and the blue border (which doesn't really fit in :) ). So, in the spirit of community, I'm going to give it a "good" vote.

And frankly, I think a lot of people here need to grow up.
