Description:

A green rendition of this lovely artwork: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/show.php?content=70771&vote=good&tan=40990090

One MILLION credits go out to guiguru for dreaming this up and creating the original artwork!

Now if only someone could make banshee skinable!

the gnome doesn't need in the different-style application skins. Each application should follow current theme style, but not their own view. Leave these things windows users.

I don't agree. Currently all apps look exactly the same, there is no difference between an office and an media application. I think the gnome style guidelines should be separated into different categories (Mediaapps, Office/Programming apps, Filetools, Setting-dialogs etc.).

I don't agree too. Different apps must have different visual accents. Use cases of media player is not the same as for terminal, or archive viewer etc. That's why Banshee have it's own ListView incarnation, AFAIK.

i agree, im a gnome fan and the only problem i have is that all the apps look the same to me, its time for us to get the media players for gnome a gui that kicks the butt of both windows and mac, songbird is doing pretty well

only if i can get your concept for songbird

lol, iTunes at mac strictly follow mac guidelines and looks like any other standard application from Apple Co. Only at windows there are a huge amount of tasteless skins and other trash, but no one application with the really nice and usable interface. But windows is not a good example. Even now gnome is more usable than it, so, it's a stupidity to copy windows' garbage can.
In my opinion, creation of gtk theme with nice elegant icons and pleasant colors combination (gtk now lack of themes with it, there are only 2-3 colors themes, it looks very tasteless) will be much more useful.

I believe apps should inherit gnome settings for look AND have the option to use skins. Crazy, I know, choices vs sheep.
