Description:

Hello,

I often have some (just some!) files on the desktop. Firefox saves Downloads there.

So to keep it all clean, I move the downloaded files to a certain location (and it's not just the same 'download'-folder...).

How do I do this? I can right click the file, clicking 'cut' and then fire up a konqueror window and paste the file there. Alternative: I use the "quick file manager" menues, that is "Move to", "Copy to" in the context menu. But this is also time consuming.

What about right-click the file, then middle-click "cut" (same with copy) and the file dialog appears. Now I have my bookmarks, my preffered locations...to my mind it would be much faster.

What do you think?

there are 2 options in the RMB menu: Copy To and Move To, which can do exactly what you want

BTW, you've posted into the wrong cayegory :)

Well,

it's not exactly that. You have to move carefully your mouse, using "Move to", "Copy to"...

You're right, _in_ the "Move to" menu there is "Browse..." and that's what I want.

But you can make it simpler: just a right click on "Cut", "Copy", "Paste"... then the menue entries "Copy to" and "Move to" are not neccessary.
