add "extract here" option when moving a file

Description:

The idea is very simple, I hope it hasn't been suggested yet. What I was thinking about is that now when you drag and drop a file into some directory you have opened with konqueror you have three options: move, copy, link and cancel. It would be nice if when you're moving a tar.gz file you'd also have the "extract here" option. Maybe somebody else finds some other nice ideas to expand the drag and drop menu. Do you see any problems with this?

When I right click an archive and go to "Extract" menu, I get an option saying "Extract to" which performs exactly how you want things to be.

sure, the "extract to" option allows you to extract into a specific directory. But do people really use that? From my personal experience I think most people just copy the file into a directory and then use the "extract here" option. If you could have the "extract here" option already when you drag and drop it would be one step less.

I use the right click Extract sub-menu a lot... your suggestion is superfluous. :)

actually , i think this is one of the things that is missing !

i want a way to extract on drag and drop , without having to open the extract program

I have all extra packages on my USB hard-drive. I like to extract them to my desktop for while when i need edit few files. Thats why i first need to copy file to desktop and after that right click it and select "extract here". It would be much easier to just drag it somewhere else and select "extract here" and not "copy here".

KDE it just must be...

Good and useful idea.
In fact, the "Extract..." dialog is not very usable since it offers to extract the file in user home instead of the actuall directory. It could be easier if the dialog offers first the actuall directory so the user can change it but starting from the ACTUAL directory and not from home.

Yes, I'd like a lot the option of "drag and extract" in the contextual menu.
