Description: This is my first KDM-theme ever so it might be a little buggy. But at least it works fine on my computer in 1024x768 resolution. It should also work on other resolutions. To install: You need to unzip the archive into KDIR$/share/apps/kdm/themes/ and modify $KDEDIR/share/config/kdm/kdmrc to read like: Theme=/usr/kde/3.4/share/apps/kdm/themes/SimpleK UseTheme=true The code is based on KDM theme "circles". License: GPL

This looks like a gdm theme to me. Did kdm get expanded upon recently to support themeing?

HEy-
i cant get this to work. I have extracted to the proper directory. I had to make a kdmrcfile, as one didt exist. I am running the kde3.4 beta, but cant seem to get any of the themes to work. What am i doing wrong?
Distro is Suse 9.2 Pro

I'm not sure if this helps but:

You should had the file already before you created it.

Are you sure it's not in other place in your distro?
Try: "locate kdmrc" in console.

I had it even in Kde 3.3...

I cant get the theme to work. This is the first time for me to install KDM theme... I tryed this one, and another one... none wont work... I extracted everything in its place, changed the kdmrc file... Changed the "UseTheme" to "true", and changed the theme path to extracted path... I cant see any difference in the greeter... Same default suse greeting... Please help.

Your $KDEDIRmay not be /usr/kde/3.4

Take a look in /usr/kde and see what is there if it is 3.3 it ould be /usr/kde/3.3

In fact you distribution may actually use /opt/kde/3.3 or /opt/kde/3.4

Take a look in /opt/kde if you don't find any directories under /usr/kde

Creating a directory under /usr/kde will not make it work. Find the correct directory. It may be 3.1 or 3.2. It should be easy to find. Just look at your path when you are logged into kde. env PATH or echo $PATH at a command prompt.
