Hi,

I really love your screenshot, and I would like to get the exact same thing. Especially the small bar on the top right with the basic status, the workspace switcher, and Engage ?

I am not familiar with E but not afraid to dig into CVS stuff.

Thank you.

The bar on the top is my own creation that I'll release eventually :)

Very good job.

Is it possible to tell us where to get the same wallpaper ?

What is the skin applied to xmms ?

Are dropshadows a new feature of DR17 ? (I am quite new to this kind of stuff)

Thanks

Wallpaper is called "Distortion" I forget now where I found it

XMMS skin is a winamp skin called "Orbital" that should be easier to find

Drop Shadows require fd.o's Xserver.

Hi, I'm using fedora core 2. I've just downloaded fdo's xserver and x.org latest cvs as well. Do you have any personal guidelines to compile, install, and configure them in order to enable drop shadows.

fd.o should have install instructions on their site with the info on xserver. It even contains info on installing the xcompmgr. Once thats all installed start it up like they tell you and run xcompmgr with the -c option to enable client side shadows.

The x.org CVS isnt stable or fast enough with xcompmgr to use. Just wait a few weeks for that one until all the bugs are ironed out
