Description:

Gnome Shell Theme inspired by the wonderful wall paper by Ton - K300. I used the bluish brushed combination with yellow and i liked the effects so much that i felt like to share it !

REQUIREMENTS:
Gnome 3.2 / Gnome shell
MGSE Extension (optional for mint menu styles)
Cinnamon 1.1.3 or 1.2 (default install is for cinnamon 1.2, read update log for cinnamon 1.1.3)

INSTALL:
Extract the zip file to ~/.themes and choose via gnome-tweak-tool (for gnome-shell)
cinnamon users can select this theme from overview > themes app-grid.

CREDITS & SUGGESTIONS:
GTK3: Adwaita Cupertino by trastes => http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Adwaita+Cupertino?content=147061
ICONS: FaenzaMac by irbinix => http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/FaenzaMac+%28VIDEO%21%21%21%29?content=142068
WALLPAPER \"yo-yo\" by Ton-K300 => http://ton-k300.deviantart.com/art/Yo-yo-276645801

HIGHLIGHTS:
a) Brushed Transparency
b) Framed top panel (for gnome shell)
c) Fully Transparent bottom panel (for gnome shell)
d) Glassy Bottom Panel (for cinnamon desktop)

Thank You for visiting this page for a Preview / Download. Suggestions and Comments will be appreciated to help me improve...

Changelog:

24.1.2012
Added compatibility for cinnamon1.2
There are 3 folders in the zip file, one gnome-shell, 2 for cinnamon. default install will be suitable for cinnamon 1.2. for those using cinnamon 1.1.3, kindly open the theme folder in nautilus, rename folder cinnamon to cinnamon-1.2, rename cinnamon-1.1.3 to cinnamon, restart cinnamon.

9.1.2012
1. Edited the selector background in Mint Menu (MGSE) to match with the pop-up menu selector (in gnome-shell)
2. Edited the work-space switcher on MGSE bottom panel in sync with the theme. (in gnome-shell)

8.1.2012
Minor text-shadow issue that i was unable to solve (the last letter in the popup text was not showing the text-shadow - though it was not noticeable), i modified it a bit to make it look better.

7.1.2012
Added support for cinnamon desktop. For those who are yet to experience cinnamon, follow this link =>
http://www.webupd8.org/2012/01/cinnamon-13-released-with-panel.html

now the default "infinity" logo for overview button in cinnamon is visible. you can disable the visibility if you do not wish to see that using dconf-editor > org > cinnamon configuration. Even bottom panel can be set to auto-hide.

Thank You once again for visiting this page for a preview / download. As always, suggestions / comments are welcome for my improvement.

I am also a fan of your work, but tell me pls, like to a novice of gkt-3.x, how did you manage to make the trasparency of the panels, without Compiz working; where is the secret ?

this particular theme is based on images and not color gradients. (wood n tux was my first venture into image based shell theme where i wished to have a wooden look panel and popup menus, dash and all..
then followed brushed metallica with metalic textures and then this trans blues...)
you can dig into the gnome-shell.css file and the images in the folder.

for purely color based transparency, here is one
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/aero+theme+pack?content=146698 that contains 3 themes....
in this you can dig into the css file and search for Panel section ! you ll get it.

you said it right... with compiz not available for shell this is one way i explored ! in a nut shell, i am a noob in theme creations, i just explore ! and enjoy !

thank you for your support and encouraging comments champ... have a nice day...
