Description:

This plugin was written by zaps166 ( http://zaps166.zxq.net ). It makes possible to create preview for videos on KDE4 using FFmpeg library.

To compile this library you must have installed QT4, KDE4 and FFmpeg devel libraries.

In "lib" directory there is library, which creates previews of videos.
In "settings_gui" directory there is application, which configures this library.

If you want compile and install, run (as root):
./inst KDE4_INSTALL_PATH
If your KDE4 is installed in "/usr" directory, run (as root):
./inst /usr

In Dolphin or Konqueror you must turn on Video Preview!
If you want to configure library, run: z166_kde4_ffmpeg_thumbnails_settings

If you want to remove library, run (as root):
./uninst KDE4_INSTALL_PATH
If your KDE4 is installed in "/usr" directory, run (as root):
./uninst /usr

If you want to compile without installing, run:
./compile

If you want to clean compiled libraries from this directory, run:
./clean

currently i integrate kffmpegthumbnailer into the kde core libraries. It would be nice if you could help me on this job. I think one good ffmpegthumbnailer is better than two.

Hi,

I can't install kde4-ffmpeg_thumbnails under ubuntu-9.10.

Every times when I'm triyng i've the same error message :

root@quantum:~/Documents/z166_kde4_ffmpeg_thumbnails# ./inst /usr
./inst: 19: Syntax error: "(" unexpected

Every time i've the same unexpected syntax error.

Have any body a idea ?
