Description:

Suggestion
Yellow = 0 -10 KB
Rose = 10 - 1 MB
Green = 1MB - 100MB
Red = 100MB - 1GB
Purple - 1GB - 10GB
To the size of the file or folder, an appropriate color.

Therefore we will get used to see what is occupying space in the hard disk for looking for the file.

If you want me to, I can do the translation for you - I'm Portuguese. =) Automatic translation doesn't work quite well... Part of what you've just written is meaningless in English. Anyway, the idea is good but the design surely needs some improvements.

Muito agradecido eu te seria. É muito desagradável publicar minhas idéias aqui, e ver o pessoal criticando meu "inglês". Podes ver minhas outras ideias aqui

The idea is quite good. But, having a background color back of folder isnt nice doesnt it. Ite better to colorize folder when mouse over.

I have to agree with oryxz. I like the idea but think it would be best with a folder change on mouse hover. I don't care for it behind the icon.

 Filelight

Well, the idea isn't bad, but I don't like when the filemanager starts coloring my folders. :P
Instead, if you want to know "what is occupying space in the hard disk", you could use something like filelight:

if they were only colored on mouseover would that be better? That seems to be what is being discussed.

Leaning that should be a function that we could activate / to disable with a click in the toolbar. Or a click with the right button of the mouse. It should be possible to configure the colors for each strip of Bytes, besides, it should be possible to configure to use instead of transparent colors; the height of the bar; the more high, larger the file. Or still, it should be possible to use a code similar to the code of colors of the resistors. I begin is her difficult to get used to, but after some time, we would get used to easily the alone for the colors and to see his/her size.

I don't like it. Tools like Filelight is enough for me, don't need to intergrate it into the file manager.

Color coding does not work.
Everyone thinks color coding works, but I am a progessional designer and I AM TELLING YOU: NO. It's futile.

Forget it. If you cannot read numbers, colors won't help/
What if I am colorblind?
