Description:

download link: a clean (no fonts) version of the wp.
screenshot1:a blah blah version of the wp.
screenshot2:curent Vasm gui.
screenshot3:Vasm Mock up.

Vasm is the only Gui system administration tool on a slackware system-only on Vector Linux.
Vasm can be used both in gui and no gui(when your Xorg doesnt work).Has a number of very helpfull additional functions, which are in case you manage to bork your system.
Very simple and clean, you can use it to set up almost everything in a different number of steps (next>next)...alot simpler than some other administration tools.I wish Yast was more like it,lol.
-----------
Do you think that it can use a different gui?
which is better(curent-screen2)
orrr...this mock up(screenshot 3)

n3 looks fairly nice, but it would be alot better if it didnt have to pop up more windowses.3's design suggests that.

yah, both r based on slackware.I have a Zenwalk machine - a laptop, which uses the shared internet by my main (Vector) machine.
The only differences that I noticed were:
1.vector soho comes with a fairly new kde and you can install the latest kde on it.
2.Vector booted faster into gui
3.Zenwalk had a gui package management tool, called netpkg, which basically does what gslapt does, but it lacks a search function and you have to scroll down untill you find what you need, not to mention that the package list doesnt come out alphabetically arranged. You can install gslapt on it too,but i couldnt find any way to add zenwalk's official repository to slapt-get's list.
4.zenwalk's kde didnt have a first time configuration dialog, instead it came with a bunch of default zenwalk-ish settings for kde.

but yeah, both systems function pretty well...but zenwalk doesnt have a nice system tool such as VASM. ;)

So are you taking credit for creating the 3rd graphic (the mockup)? Because I'm the one who designed it. Perhaps you should name your source... either that or come up with your own work.

Article I wrote with original artwork, for everyone's reference:
