I've got a HP PSC 1210 all-in-one printer/scanner/copier and I had to switch by hand from one driver to the other everytime I wanted to print or scan. ...so I made a script to just change the mode of the all-in-one in a single click.
So I'm posting this little script here, for everyone who has the same "problem".
This is my first ever usable script, and a lot of kind souls have helped me to make it - thank you.
uncompress the tarball to where you want the script to run.
make a link/shortcut on the desktop and in the program->command type:
kdesu -t /path/to/scanner_en.sh
Notes:
1) you have to have an all-in-one with which you have to use ptal-init to change from printing to scanning (and back)
2) you have to be able to get root access, else ptal-init won't do the magic
3) _en is for english!
4) those who already use KDE 3.3 can uncomment the two "#kdialog" lines to get passive popups informing them of the action.

Changelog:
Obsolete since the HP drivers are unified and working as they should. Use the HPLIP ( http://hplip.sourceforge.net ) drivers (unless you have a odd good reason not to!)
I will keep it published here though for those few who (for some reason or another) don't want to use the new drivers.
