Description:
The new kde4 is going to have and integrated search(strigi), and i like a system fully integrated with strigi, so this is the idea:
actually: You have a lot of Docs(odf) in your system, in many folders, so if you are using kword and wanna open, you must navegate until the the right folder and open the file, so if you have a too large tree of folder or dont remember where is, you lost time.
future: You wanna open a doc from you university, that belong to programing, so you select open from kword and select "smart browser", then you see "all" the docs(odf) in you system(using strigi), but the are too many, so you use "tags(nepomuk)", and start to filter, select "university" and less file are showed, select another label and select "programing" and now see a few files, and is really easy to open the file.
the idea is use all the new technology of kde4(nepomuk,strigi) to improve the way in that your access you files, currently you only find some utils to find files(kbeagle) that is really poor of use(IMO), this can be used with the label of digikam/amarok, to openfiles and search more easly.
mockup comming soon, ideas allowed.
