I ask about autor of this photo. Are You have right to republish his work? I think You don't ask him about permission, so it may be illegal, and You may to get into trouble.

He chose the GPL licence, but I seriously doubt, that he has a permission to share this image from its creator.

By the way, he mentioned , that he modified the original image from gnome-look.org. The exact link is:

I know this, because I made and put that images there.. And as U can see, there was no GPL licence ... Doesn't it mean, that he has no right or permission (from me or the original creator of image) to modify it ????

So what's the difference: GPL or no-licence, if in both cases, there is no permission from the original maker...

I'm not saying, this is right, but this is the way it goes on almost any 'wallpaper website'...

and actually those aren't any right at all. coz that photo is prob copyrighted by the guy who took it, or some modeling company. but it's not like we sell it or take credit for the original pic, so screw that.
