Description:

I think that one thing that is missing from most of the world of Free Software Desktops, if not all, is corner detection on the window manager buttons when a window is maximized.

Example:
If I have a window maximized on my desktop I should be able to swing my mouse up and to the right (or to the left) and just click and the window should close.

That is to say, I should not have to look at the button or the corner in order to close the window.

That's already the way it works - simply don't allow resizing of maximized windows. (the window decoration needs to work with it, but there aren't many that don't)

You would also have found this information by searching through kde-look, this is not the first time this has been posted :)

With some decorations, this works. With some - no. All vista-like decos, and most emerald themes lack this ability. That's why I use knifty.

well I use gnome majoritively and I haven't used too many themes outside of what is to be found on the repositories of my distro. I don't think that it is worth compiling for a theme. Shouldn't this effect be across the board then?

I would search the site but the search engine on this site sucks so much that I refuse to use the stupid friggin thing.

Yeah, this has been suggested before, and if I'm not mistaken, there is a bug report too.

Also, on some window decorations, the scrollbar has the same problem (you can't just swing your mouse right and hit it; it's not on the screen "edge", if you understand what I mean).
