Description:

It would be very nice to have a cover flow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cover_flow) similar to in Apple\\\'s finder (http://www.apple.com/de/macosx/features/finder.html) as a View Mode.

I haven't yet myself used cover flow finder, but is this really that necessary or a bigger improvement over icon view with preview?

I dont understand what makes so nice about that functionality.
I have used it and i just dont understand :-)

If i want to watch pictures, i fire up a gwenview and use slideshow on it. If i just want to find file fast, i use a thumbnails (actually my settings are off) ;-)

Because it aloud you to preview all kind of documents, even multipage documents and videos, without opening other application, while look stunning and providing a lot more functionality than just a thumbnail.

Thumbnails already shows preview of all kind files. So it's not needed. If i want to see specific info from PDF, i open it to KPDF what is integrated to konqueror so it's up in under a second and i can use all fancy powerfull kPDF tools and not just "preview" it.

For Music i already have preview when i move cursor over file and for videos we dont have such yet, we would need moving previews of videos for those thumbnails when cursor moves over it.

I just cant find anything special on coverflow what cannot be done already more easier way.

Easier way, puf.

You're just a closed old school guy.

Those ways aren't easier, CoverFlow on the finder looks a lot better and, believe me, it's way faster than Konqueror can dream about.

Music, video and all kind of files showed in a 3D pane, just click and play, do you really believe looking at a thumbnail, and then opening (thing you aren't loosing, your arguments fall alone), you can do whatever non-edit task there, if you want to edit, launch the application.

(Somehow like Konqueror, but way better implemented)

i believe leopard has this functionality, so, I hope I word this right; OSX is more competition than windows. this should be added in basically just because we can.
