Tags for everything

Description:

The basic idea:
To be able to add tags to everything you deal with in your daily live - these tags should than be viewable with some kind of tag viewer and should appear in the konqueror propoerties dialog (compare with screenshot), and they should be indexed by tenor, which should give them a quite high ranking.

The extended idea:
- An advantage from the usability point of view would be if the tags could be coloured to group them more easily (check the mockup).
- Another advantage would be to work together with other, already existing groups: Leaftag and Deskbar for gnome.
http://www.chipx86.com/wiki/Leaftag
http://raphael.slinckx.net/deskbar/
- Virtual folders will be (hopefully) available everywhere in KDE, and the tags could be one way to generate them.
- The tags should be accessible and be used by different applications which already using tag-systems or similar systems: digikam, amarok, kimdaba, etc.. In fact, this KDE tag system should be the backend for these application tag systems and should work flawlessly together with them.

The reason (Why?):
If Tenor really wants to present us not only information the search machine has found, but also depending on the relation of the data, than Tenor has to have a rating system.
Other applications (like amarok for example) are already coming along with a automatically rating system.
But these rating systems are first really powerful when you are able to modify and influence the ratings by hand (as in amarok possible, for example).
And that's what I want to do with the tags: besides the fact that you could sort your data in this kind with virtual folders, should Tenor rate search hits in the tags much higher than normal hits in the file.
For example: if you search for "Berlin" and there would be a tag called Berlin, Tenor should rate all files tagged with Berlin much higher than normal files where the word Berlin is contained.

Yes, I saw that one too - but my idea tends more into the direction of how it should communicate and work together with the rest of KDE4, like Tenor and already existing apps like digikam and amarok.
I want to make sure that, if we get tagging, that other applications can use it - at the moment I cannot even cross-use the taggs I added with digikam or kimdaba, and that's very sad.

Besides this obvious usasbility and probably user expected behaviour I think it would be a big advantage if we would have the probability of manual ratings in Tenor - to avoid clicking numbers (like it's working in amarok at the moment) we could combine that with the tags, and also use special predefined tags for that with a fixed rating (like important, urgent, unimportant and so on).
