Description:

I tried to put together an example of a sleek desktop. Very simple, and has everything you might need.

Added the dictionary and weather applets just for kicks.

I got a lot of ideas from knighthacker.
Thanks ;-)

Hi,

Nice desktop there :) Could you post the Karamba themes you converted from Konfabulator please? They're really nice. Thanks.

Oops! Sorry, I posted the previous message to the wrong screenshot. Anyways, your desktop is spiffy too, I was wondering if you're running KDE from CVS cause I've noticed the transparent kicker.

I'm running regular KDE 3.0.

Actually my panel is a karamba theme. That's why it's transparent.

I wasn't sure, it looks similar to some screenshots I saw with a transparent kicker. One more question, how did you make the slicker konsole applet taller? I can't make it taller, but I might be running an outdated version of slicker. Thanks.

You can do it with your version of slicker as well. You just need to move your cursor to the right place (or pixel to be exact). Yes, that's right, it's actually one pixel which you have to be on. It's right on the border between the tab which has the slicker card's caption (title) and the border of the window itself.

Also your card must be opened before you attempt that. It's hard but keep moving your mouse cursor in that vicinity a few times and you'll notice the pointer changing to a resize pointer ().

Good luck ;)
