Description:

With the release of Kommander 1.3 in KDE 3.5.9 we check for the executable bit being set as a means of trust verification. This dialog not only is for the newest version, it requires the newest version of Kommander to run. I hope this makes migration easier for users as this enables you to intelligently set the exectuable bit on multiple dialogs at once, as well as audit dialogs from the menu.

This is not going to crash like this just from executing a dialog, though it's possible some features introduced in the new version are not handled as well by older versions.

The key point is, are you running the version of Kommander that shipped with KDE 3.5.9? If not then why are you running this dialog, which is for setting the executable bit which is only tested for in the just released version?

If you are getting a crash of this dialog like that, then likely it would happen on every dialog, in which case it would probably be an install problem, but I'm thinking it's that you're not running the just released version of Kommander (1.3) from KDE 3.5.9. As this does not contain usable information, which a proper bug report would, I can only speculate.
