Description:

We can save space.

This "super button" is located where you can now find the Go button - behind the location bar. If the location bar is empty the Go button is shown - you are invited to enter a new location. If you hit Enter or the Go button this one changes to the Stop button - now you have the chance to stop the operation. If location/site is fully loaded the Stop button changes into a Reload button - now you can reload the site if necessary.

Let's call this the 3-in-one-button-concept ;-) Having this, now it's also indicated when a page is fully loaded (if you see the reload button again).

And how can you determine the moment, when you must change "Reload" button to "Go"? I see, that "Go" button will be shown, only if address bar is empty. Another words, if you have the address bar empty, you will see "Go", then you enter some address, press "Go", it changes to "Stop", then it loaded successfully, you change address to another, and button still "Reload"?..

Another way to do it would be as follows:

If the user has changed the contents of the location bar then present the "go" button, otherwise present the reload button.

If people want to use the "go" button on a blank page rather than just hitting enter, why wouldn't they also want it on a fully loaded web page, having typed in a new address? But then people might want to reload having changed the address, which my suggestion above wouldn't accommodate.

A smaller change would be to merge the stop/reload buttons, which Opera does.
