Description:

I think that Reinhardt looks cleaner this way...

To try this just apply the patch over the original Reinhardt Style source tree.

Future Changes:
I'd like to add this as an option configurable from the control center.

Enjoy!

How can I get rid of those damn handlers in different themes? Who, the hell, find them useful?

methinks there should be an option for them to autohide, like kicker applet handles. i do use them, but i don't need them staring at me 24/7.

First of all, I don't think that toolbar handlers are useless. For any computer newbie they are necessary. Why? Because they provide feedback to the user. It is like in the real world: things that slide or are supposed to slide, things that are meant to be handled somehow have a grip. Toolbar handlers provide that.

Now... You know that you can drag a toolbar... So... Let's get that handler out of there.

A style is a collection of rules that tells you how to draw widget features like buttons or... Toolbars.

To unable toolbar handlers, first get the source code of any style. Look for a section defining "toolbar handlers" (Pray for good commentaries on the source) and just comment the parts you don't want. Code is pretty explicit anyway.

You can look inside this patch to see a little bit more. It is very straightforward.

I am sorry for the long explanation. I just try to reach anyone trying this.

For more about usability, look for Jakob Nielsen or Alan Key papers on the net. (Google will do it fine)
