Description:

I changed the border and button position because the were a little too close to the edge.
Still no border around sides and bottom.
Doesn't blend in with GTK theme properly while inactive.

If anyone knows about a good dock other than gnome panel that looks enough like a Mac please, tell me.

I recommend using the RPanther3 Brushed GTK Theme from here:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/RPanther3+Brushed+GTK+Theme?content=20972

And the OSX icon theme here:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/OSX?content=31618

Please note that I did not have anything to do with the GTK or icon themes.

I haven't tried using it much yet, but the big one seems to be Avant Window Navigator: http://code.google.com/p/avant-window-navigator/

I have tried Avant Window Navigator and it seemed to me to be the be very close to the Mac OSX Dock Bar. The SVN build was very stable and easy to use. The only counterpart (and the reason why I got back to Gnome Panel) was that it was quite resource intensive on my Celeron 1.7gHz - 768mB RAM - NVIDIA GeForce 6200. If you have better hardware or if you don't mind getting lags, then Avant Window Navigator is definitively a good choice.

 suitable pseudo-dock

I would suggest cairo-dock.. its really simple to compile and is very smooth in operation.. there is GNOME dock too which is a fork of cairo-dock but its slower for some reason.. must be all the configuration options they added :D

Just loosen up some of the screws so the centripital force overwhelms them at the highest speed and voila! No more unwanted houseguest! :p

 Close, but one thing

The window management buttons (close/min/max) are lower than the window shade button is. This theme would benefit from having those three buttons on the left bumped up a bit. :) It's good, that's the only thing I can find that could stand a bit of tweaking.

Thanks for the neat theme!
