Description:

This is my very first mockup, well the first that I want to share with anyone anyway.

This mockup is takes its inspiration from the gentle gnome mockup posted here by Superstoned.

I have also incorporated UpsilonH24’s KDE 4 - Enterprise Manager Tool idea, and kiras’s Tasks Info in Less Windows (mockup), although neither ideas are really shown in this particular mockup.

The Menu is based on kbfx-0.4.9 .1 (fräscha).

All the artwork is my own except the wallpaper and the icons.

Let me know what you think!!

 Very Interesting

There's a little Borg in you huh? Assimilating some ideas there. Good work. Looks interesting. I prefer the "flowering" kmenu idea. I can't find it to point it out, but the idea is a centred kmenu with items popping out in a circular manner. Since I use both a kicker and topbar (mac style topbar), these ideas in concert would serve me well. I just wish I could find that one circular kmenu page.

 not for me

We can already hide system tray icons in KDE 3.5, and I prefer the current set up to a drop down menu to be honest.

Also, I dunno why, maybe because I assiciated them with XP so have a stupid bias, but I just don't really like that style of K menu. :(

I think it is good to have, so that new users have something familiar to fall back on, or for those who prefer it. :) We don't want to be removing functionality, in terms of user flexibility or raw capability. ;)

oh yeah, definitely worth having for new users. I just thought that I'd help emphasise the fact that its important for other K menus to recieve attenton too.
