Submitted:  Oct 26 2004
Updated:  Oct 28 2004

Description:

Wanted other user pics than default kde ones. It's a set of light-shadowed pics of 64x64. I added a blank icon for you to make your ones if you wish.

To make the pics available for the whole system you've to paste them in you KDE directory within /share/apps/kdm/pics/users.

Hope you'll appreciate !

Changelog:

Added 26 more icons. They're now 52.
Added the .xcf used to make numbers.png.
Added blank.png for you to make your own pics.
Removed avatars.xcf because the file was too heavy.

Pretty.
What's the name of the font in the printscreen? I want it too.

Quite simple : it's sans serif ... I think it' a default font in many distros.
I just changed the color to a desaturated blue. That's why it seems an unusual font. ;)

It looks like Bitstream Vera Sans Serif.

I believe KDE makes "Sans Serif" a link to your default sans serif-font. Very often this is Vera Sans.

allright ....
I searched alot on KDE Homepage, and artist.kde.org but still I don't know how to submit content.
Do it through bugs.kde.org isn't quite logical thought ... isn't it ? O_o

I think that's how you're supposed to do it. When you submit the bug I think you can specify it as a feature request.

The must be part of the next KDE release. You can submit your icons for inclusion by announcing them on the kde-devel list and informing everyone that you would like them included (probably in kdeartwork.) Here is the sign-up page http://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-devel

Ya, I saw your post. Anytime you deal with pictures they are gonna want assurances that you took the pictures or that you have 100% distribution rights to the pictures. Its the only way to protect KDE from lawsuites. That said, I cannot wait to see them in KDE.

I like them a lot. Many of the ones supplied with distros just suck - these are both interesting and varied.

As an aside, the spelling of Autumn is wrong... ;)

Glad you like them !

Thanks for the hint .... English is not my original language and "autumn" means "automne" in french... It was a mix ....
I'll correct it.

Man, your avatars just rock, they're great, great, great... finally something pleasing to the eye, unlike those lame pics we get with KDE/distros....

 Nice Icons, but...

are they all made by yourself? Don't get me wrong but for KDE it is very important that you have the copyright and that this work isn't taken from someone else.

Credits are included in the archive. Pictures I used and modified (alot) were free of use. Anyway abstract ones are my very own creations.
