Thanks for the response; however, that method doesn't work because I get a message saying that the file is not a valid icon theme. I figured it out, however. I found out where the icon files are stored in RH9 and simply extracted the file I d-loaded to that directory.

 Genius

SystemX, you are simply a genius. Would you be kind enough to provide the Gorilla and Korilla icons in svg format? The svg format has several advantages. It is lighter. It is easier on memory. It loads faster. And it looks better than currently available formats.

Apart from the above, you are a hero. :-)

 Gorilla Theme Rocks

 by kokoro59 on: Aug 13 2003

This theme rocks, I almost got everything
going except for the wallpaper shown in Gorilla
icon page and the fonts?

What is the font you are using? How do you get
the smooth look?

The Fonts I am using are...

Desktop & Window Decoration - Child's Play
Everything Else - Verdana

As far as making them look so smooth... I don't know what to tell you, I don't think I am really doing anything different then what other's are doing. I do use allot of True Type Fonts and always try to use the most up to date software. Also, I am using Slackware "Current" of which everybody knows is the best distro on earth... :)

If you would like, I could pack my favorite fonts for you and put them on a server for you to download...

Thanks for the info, I got everything now although
my verdena fonts do not look as good as yours.

Keep up the good work. It would be superb
if someone could put everything together and
make a KDE theme.

Cheers.

The font package sounds like a great idea... I'd love to have some more good looking fonts for my system... could you upload them into a package?

 KDE "style"

by daihard on: Aug 17 2003

The Korilla theme is really cool. I just switched from "Gorilla." They both rock!

The only question I have is, what "style" do you use with Korilla? I mean, if you go to KDE Control Panel --> Look & Feel --> Style, you'll see a bunch of available styles. I'm using KDE HiColor Default, but I wonder if there's anything that mathes the Korilla theme better?

thanks!

The two styles I use the most with Korilla and Gorilla is ThinKeramik & Alloy. Those are the two styles that I think look best when using the icons and colorscheme.

ThinKeramik is the one I am using in the above screenshots. In my earlier screenshots I used Alloy 2.1...
