Description:

weAreGear is an SVG Wallpaper created with Inkscape 0.40. The idea is that KDE is here to stay, and nothing will change that. The wallpaper has a transparent background allowing you to choose any color from your desktop environment. It is made to look good with almost any color background, but I recommend the use of blues, greens, or purples of varying saturations and values.

I would like to ask anyone with a pre-release of KDE 3.4 to test out the wallpaper and let me know how well it renders. If it doesn't look just like the screenshots, please let me know.

Changelog:

0.4.2 - Added some slight detail (missing lines), removed obsolete screenshots, and added png version at:
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=19510
...as requested by some of you.
0.4.1 - Made further modifications to background gradients, and brightened up the letters "KDE" (see screenshot 1)
0.4 - Many changes...
* Slogan removed
* 1's & 0's removed
* Gear enlargened
* various 'sparks' and bubbles repositioned
* background gradients modified
* sparkles simplified
These changes were made based on the suggestions of several of you. They are meant to give a simpler, less distracting, more elegant look. Cutting down on render time was also a consideration. I would like to thank you all for your helpful advice.

0.3 - First released version.

0.2 - (Never released) Was more colorful, had gradient problems, and didn't look very good on very light, or very dark backgrounds.

0.1 - (Never released) The first black-and-white-line layout
