Too much work. I just get rid of the quickstart menus and don't worry about it. Usabibility is *improved* now that I don't have constantly shifting and mutating menus. Instead of copying Microsoft, we should be belittling them for coming up with this dumb idea.

*Usability* for you is not for me and for some people. Maybe neither me nor everybody would like adapting the *usability* from others. Everyone has differents habits, different customizations. MS-Like? Humm... i don´t think so..

Hmm... I think i like it. And I think I'll try to implement it. :-)


KDE3 uses a QPopupMenu internally for all things in the K menu, and in a QPopupMenu you can put any QWidget, which means we can put something like a vertical icon scroller in the menu (if we create one on our own). The most cumbersome part will be to make sure the focus is transferred correctly between the menu and the recentapps when browsing with arrow keys.

The only problem is I don't have KDE at home, only at school, 850 kilometres away. And now I have just entered my three week easter holiday. Sure, I could implement it, but I can only verify that it compiles. I cannot tell if it actually works. For that I'd need some assistance.
