Description:

my first attempt of a kde svg wallpaper.

i got the idea, because the last days here in munich were very foggy, but when the sun came out it looked beautiful.

with different background colors it is up to you how the wallpaper finally looks like.

please let me know what you think of it.

Changelog:

1.0:
- added birds
- minimal color/alpha channel change
- new download containing the svg and a png image (to use it already as wallpaper)

The Wallpaper is just nice drawn, and it has an interesting style to show the deepness.
But the Idear, to use the gear as a sun, is one of the best things I have ever seen here!
I hope we can see this in kde 3.4 as a default wallpaper.

i really like this. very original idea and done very well.

is there any way to have the "kde-sun" cast some light onto the foreground? i think that would get the point across a bit better, that the gear is the sun. just and idea from one who couldn't make a background as fancy as this one ;)

First of all: Thanks for your comment.

but i don't know, what you exactly mean. do you think of some kind of sunbeams as seen in e.g. this picture http://www.norbert-riedl.de/Nature/Sonnenaufgaenge/Sonnenstrahlen.jpg that i found with google? this might look really cool.

maybe you can show me a picture of what you are thinking of.
