No offense, but why is it so common for people to post backgrounds/wallpapers as screenshots for GDM themes? Any genius (again, no offense) can change the background on the GDM - so it, to me anyway, seems somewhat useless to see the background only, since it's the combination of background and arranging of elements that makes up a nice GDM..
Anywho, just a thought.

Hey... my problems with this:

1) Gnome? Linux?

2) Yeah... really, make a wallpaper, not a gdm.

Having said that, it's easy to go both ways, actually.

just a suggestion..

if you want to make a screenshot of your GDM, use the "New Login in a Nested Window" option, then take a screenshot, open it in The GIMP and crop it..

Another option to take a screenshot of a gdm theme is to use gdmthemetester.

gdmthemetester flexi /path/to/gdm/theme/folder

works pretty well!
