Description:

New version for Amarok 2 of former AmarokNowPlaying for Facebook.

Sends song information on each track change, and posts on demand "special comments".

This script is designed to work with the NowPlaying webservice, which is not hosted anymore. Please see the author's blog: http://similitux.elementfx.com/blog/index.php?post/2011/10/05/Hosting-down-for-NowPlaying%2C-again%2C-again-and-again..

Is something bad? Amarok always give an error about the server. The app page in facebook doesn't load.

is now about a week with the same problem it cant connect to the server :( hope it gets fixed soon

Ooops I am very sorry, this is not an error but an "inactivity supension": I have to login to my hosting's forums at least every two weeks and I forgot... (I started my new school year ... :) )

Hi Jany,

App still seems to be broken. I got 'Database error, we are sorry!' when trying to access http://apps.facebook.com/amaroknowplaying/ and 'Authentication error' in Amarok.

Help! :)

You must use Amarok in order to install this script :
* Open the preferences dialog : "Settings" > "Configure Amarok"
* Go to the "Scripts" page
* Hit "Manage scripts" in the bottom-right corner
* Look for the "AmarokNowPlaying2" entry (you can use the search box) and when found, hit "Install". You're done.
