Description: Doesn't really have so much with KDE4 to do as it's just amarok.. but still. I'd like to see a new way of browsing through your playlist. I really like they way you browse through the albums of an artist you're listening to in the sidebar. Something I'd like to see for everything in your playlist. Instead of showing all the songs, it should show the albums, sorted by the artist name as well as being uncollapsable, just like in the sidebar. You could also be able to browse through the playlist by artist, where the albums gets uncollapsed as well as the albums itself. Double clicking on an artist or an album would bring up only that artist or album in the playlist. You should also be able to go back to the previous setting with a back/forward button. I did, several months ago. No replies.

So thought I'd use the power of the people, because I'm convinced it's both a really good idea as well as being real easy to put into amarok.

I love this idea! Great mock!
I'am thinking in something like 'levels'
like it:
You put an picture to a artist like you do for the albums. And the playlist only show the artists with albums in the place of tracks (look into this mock-up, this is gonna be a artist-album view). But only show the albums if you pass the mouse over and if you click you change to a albums-tracks view (with the same action if you pass the mouse over it expand and if you click it play).

Sorry for my english, can i make you understand me? What you think?

I think your idea isn't for a playlist.
A playlist have to show how would be played your songs. If you wish to get a determinated order of your songs or if you turn on populate mode, how you will use your idea? but its good...
Maybe you can put this idea in collection tab?

Well yeah, you're right. It's not a playlist. It's more of a collection browser shown in the playlist window, or main window, if you like.
