I have a lot of bookmarks, and sometimes it's simply impossible to find the URL I'm looking for.

I propose a "Search" input field in the bookmarks. I'll explain the example in the screenshot:

- The user types "k" in the search input field.
- The bookmarks containing a "k" in their name or URL get a yellow background in "k" letter.
- Others disapear.
- If a subfolder contains bookmarks with "K" the triangle becomes yellow.

This type of filtering is currently possible in the navigation panel (F9), but I too would like the ability to filter from the Bookmarks menu. I think your implementation is interesting as well (highlighting the matched characters/folder arrows)

I didn't know that "Search" filter in the navigation panel, thanks.
The problem is that I don't like the actual oversatured and not useful navigation panel with strange tabs as "amarok", "net" (KDE FTP sites?¿?¿), fonts, printing...

Definitely something which Firefox 2.0 alpha 1 has addicted me with.

Luckily, Firefox can't do file browsing yet, so Konqueror is still my browser of choice.

It's a good idea. Small but effective,

Not sure if I'd even use it but the nav panel needs cleaning and this would just be a great feature for people with too many bookmarks to manage.



(P.S. Personally I'd like a better management system for the bookmarks toolbar, hate having all my bookmarks up there, I only want a few.)
