Please think this through well. Honestly, a failed attempt or eternal delay might damage the credibility of any future initiatives.
Why does it not yet exist?
Why have Linux distributions never tried this?
Who are your potential customers, and how do you reach them?
What will draw em across the line in terms of applications/hardware/ease of use?
How much finance will the development and marketing take?
How do you plan to follow up on a successful start?
I urge you to ask companies (Novell, Ubuntu, etc) these questions. A lot might have been thought out before. Potential pitfalls can be avoided. Be smart and start asking the questions to the right people. To be fair, you will find none of the essential answers here. |

I defined activities and set one activity per desktop and voila. All switching back to KDE 4 now? |

This looks real handy. Any plans to integrate into dolphin? Seems konqueror is rarely used as a file manager these days.
Alternatively, a widgit to drop onto would be handy. some exist for images already...
