| Re: Re: Thanks for testing Oct 10 2012 on content Makefile highlighting Fixed | You can find me in makefile.xml.
You had lots of suggestions here, will look into it ;)
If this takes off, I might put this in a git repo… |

1) Works for me.
Leading spaces in rule defs are marked with the default "Error" style (red underline, in my case).
How is your "Error" style? (Settings → Configure Editor → Fonts & Colors → Highlighting Text Styles)
It needs to be underlined to be visible on spaces. I could make a custom style. |
| | | AMD to endorse Coreboot May 11 2011 on Discussion | Great news:
http://blogs.amd.com/work/2011/05/05/an-update-on-coreboot/
Quote:AMD is now committed to support coreboot for all future products on the roadmap starting next with support for the upcoming “Llano” APU.
Llano is targeted for laptops and HTPC's. Supposedly like "a sandy bridge with better graphics". Let's hope those graphics will work on Linux, then I for sure will endorse AMD!
My next PC is going to have Coreboot. Having found a possible BIOS bug myself (that prevents CONFIG_NOHZ from working), and then failed to update it because FreeDOS failed to install, I am not tempted to buy a Phoenix BIOS again, or anything that comes in an .exe file. |
| | | Adapted kernel Jan 24 2010 on Discussion | Shipping only one computer model is an opportunity for optimization. The stock kernel in openSUSE 11.2 contains a lot of drivers and debugging features. You may take /proc/config.gz as a safe starting point for configuring a specialized kernel. The goal is to get rid of unrelevant drivers, make essential drivers be compiled in (avoiding the need for initrd), and letting rarely used drivers remain in modules.
I did exactly this yesterday, and my laptop feels just a bit lighter. |
| | | More than 4 freedoms Nov 27 2009 on group No FSF! | True. As Stallman himself said it (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8249207225383797652&ei=GuIPS_uuDoGe-Aaagcm5DQ&q=Richard): «Freedom is something much bigger than having a choice between a few fixed options.» and «Freedom means not having a master.»
I don't want my software to forever be restricted to the 4 freedoms of the GPL. However, copyleft is probably our strongest protection against proprietary businesses. How about time limited GPL protection? |
| | | Version numbers as in KDE Apr 27 2009 on content Amarok | Sorry, I meant:
"Amarok 3" -> "KDE 3 version of Amarok"
"Amarok 4" -> "KDE 4 version of Amarok", aka Amarok 2
My mistake. |
| | | New user interface - a mistake Apr 27 2009 on content Amarok | That was my first and last impression of Amarok 4, as I gradualy reverted to Konsole, then Amarok 3. I don't care about hidden features, I want the overview and detail of my collection. Amarok 3 is almost perfect.
For the sake of Amarok's future, please bring back the interface of Amarok 3! |
| | | I use it every Friday Mar 20 2009 on content msdl | The norwegian broadcast corporation (NRK) sends their row of best TV programs friday night. It is more than a year ago that I discovered how to watch their web tv with msdl, and the habit is now well established. I found out lately that VLC also plays the mms:// stream, but as you know, a cli-app is irreplaceable. Sadly their current web tv will be replaced with flash in the near future. While the new flash solution is hailed on their forums, all I think is what to do now. |
| | | Not working in Amarok 1.92 Dec 2 2008 on content Norsk Nettradio | When turning the script on in Amarok, an error pops up telling me to read the log. Nothing else shows up. I installed it by selecting the tar.bz2 from disk. Uninstalling fails by first telling that a file could not be deleted, then that it was a success (maybe this is just Amarok).
I appreciate your effort, but I guess it can be done better. I got it to work (sort of) by using the «Cool Streams» script as a template to copy the urls into. I'm listening to P3 now, so thank you. |
