Kgmailnotifier is very useful for me. Because usually I use Kontact/Kmail as E-Mail client. But when I'm out for business than I'm not able to sync all my mail stuff between desktop-pc and laptop. So I use kgmailnotifier on my notebook - it's more flexible for me (I use an IMAP account ... :-) )
