KDE 4.3.0 is available in ports. Please read /usr/ports/UPDATING!!!! Python and jpeg have had recent update changes that can affect KDE, so make sure you're up to date on those and their dependents. You should also be using qt4-phonon, and not phonon. UPDATING has all the info you need. |

Aaron thought software transparency in kicker was an ugly hack, but this patch shows that it doesn't have to be either ugly or a hack. It is a perfectly viable option. The problem is not that Aaron has rejected this patch, it is that he has rejected the *idea* of this patch. He refuses to work with the author to get it into an acceptable state, because he has denied that there can ever be an acceptable state. In short, he has rejected the idea of pseudo-transparency itself.
Why should eye candy be limited to only those with Officially Approved video drivers? Many people DO NOT have the option to upgrade their hardware. They don't have the money, they don't have the technical skill, they might have a laptop that can't be upgraded, etc, etc, etc. Or maybe they just want pseudo-transparency, which is useful in its own right. |

The problem with "racy" photos like this, is that they are so unrealistic. You can't claim that the nudity is natural, because the women depicted are not natural. |

I haven't looked at the code yet, but it should be a fairly straightforward matter to support PNG. My assumption is that you're using QSvgRenderer to render to pixmaps internally. PNGs are already pixmaps. |
