Hi,
I updated in the last 2 days kde-forum.org! Now the board have subboards and will get a few User Groups (maybe I will create kde-look.org Group there).
At the moment you can use there the Look & Addons board for discuss about themes but there other boards, too ;)!

i agree that this is the wrong place but i thought i here not "bullshit-user".
fuck, fuck, ... america on this page
the problem on linux system is that the winblows user nothing now about the system but then comes kde: the friendly easy desktop and so nice ;) but where is the software. where? what? ...
i think it's a big problem and i will present a beta this weekend (screenshots, scripts later).
i think about a warehouse (lindows) like application would make control easier.
i can understand you but i want to support the windowsbrain users! deb is great but controlling software with kpackage isn't easy. my application will bring much packages into an db and with an easy overview! i will post a screenshot.
what do you think now?

New Software System for KDE

My newest idea:
The problem of Linux Desktop is the software management so I thought of bringing KDE a own package system and packages.
kpackage for system packages like rpm and debs
ksoftware for KDE packages
Maybe a combo apps for KDE and debs, rpm, ...!
The package is maybe in bz2 and have a bz2 with source and a info file with infos of packages in it!
*.kps (KDE package source) have bz2 with source and makefiles and a info file
*.kpb (KDE package binary) have bz2 with binary files and info file
It's at the moment only a idea or a concept for easier software control.
The problem/question:
Should the packages/binarys get a own bin directory? I think yes then we would have two parts on a linux system:
Linux and the KDE that runs on it with the own config, software, ... files.
KDE would run 'on top' of your system.
With the kps package you could provide packages that can be compiled quick on every system.
Much to say about. It's a part of the LION project (my ideas for the next KDE generations). I work on the website!
