actually i cannot :) i wasnt using emerald, its kwin.
it is oxygen-air kwin decoration, i think. |

thanks for allowing konsole to have a blank background gradient ( to blend with the translucent background ) and other apps to have the stippled affect. really love it :)

also another bug :
my konsole kwin deco doesnt seem to follow the opacity settings ( main background is at 70 % but kwin deco's are fully opaque )

the customization is done who you would like.
the important thing for this look ( transparent ) , is to enable background transparency to the same value as the window manager borders transparency ( i use around 80% )
other settings are mainly using the aqua theme , i think.
the thin line, if i think i understand what you are meaning, is a bug on qtcurve 1.5.1. i already reported it to the dev :)
you can enable "draw dark outer border" on window manager windeco as a work around.
also , the window manager is kwin, not emerald

i am using kwin with aurorae.
actually , you can use any bespin theme ( transparent or not ), and any aurorae theme.
at first it didnt also happened. but i tried to change aurorae border size settings and it started to happen.
now it always happens.
it doesnt happen with qtcurve though ( i mean if i use qtcurve + aurorae )

yes, but i mean if you want to have smplayer with transparency.
i for one am testing it with it and working fine.
also amarok is working fine.

i havent tried it right now, but i am pretty sure it didnt happen with bespin. ( since i was using bespin before trying out qtcurve )
by the way , kopete is the only app that does this , and freezes all plasma.
