Basically, the whole "Dropshadow" is a nasty hack. Its just a transparent border, with shadows. This cannot be done any other way, until X supports REAL transparency (as far as i can see anyway).
In response to (i think this is what you were trying to say) Shadows showing through other programs (such as Always-On-Top programs) i will post a fix for this soon, aswell as non-focused windows having a drop shadow (smaller shadow than the focused window of course) to give a more "3D" effect.

For all of those debian users out there, if you want to build a deb of this window dec, download the tarball, extract it, cd to the directory it makes and run 'debuild -us -uc'.
A debian package (.deb) will be built in the parent directory.
