Re: Home icon
Jan 10 2006  on content Vista-Inspirate

I have to agree. Most icons are great, but there's something not quite right about the home icon.

Of course that's just our opinion; other's may think it's fine...

You should at least know, and as I said I like everything else.

chromicons
Sep 27 2005  on content chromicons

Individually, they're very nice, but as a set shouldn't they all be from the same perspective and shouldn't the shadow be cast in the same direction on all?

It seems some are seen from the front while others are from the top left. The wine shadow is cast back and left while the others are mostly from the top and forward.

Of course, it's easy to be a critic; so I just want to say that I do like them.

Re: Re: Open Term As
Feb 18 2005  on content Open Terminal Here As Root

Thanks, but that is not quite what I wanted. I want to be able to do it directly from the kicker panel too.

Sort of like Microsoft's "run as" command. You can do it from their Start Menu. At least for the applications that need the functionality to run as Administrator when you're logged in with you're non-priveledged user account.

I'd like to be able to open the kicker, select an application with a right or middle click, and have a menu that pops up and says "Launch as..." and it would bring up a sudo dialog, and then launch the applicaiton.

Open Term As Root
Feb 10 2005  on content Open Terminal Here As Root

This is what I wanted a number of times.

Great work!

Now if someone would only give me the functionality to do a sudo or su from the kicker or Konquerer, I'd have everything :)

KDE 3.3?
Jan 20 2005  on content Fahrenheit Window Decoration for Debian

Looks good, but I'm wondering if this works with KDE 3.3?

I installed it with apt-get, and it shows as installed, but I don't see it when I look in Control Center > Appearances and Themes > Window Decorations.

It's not in the drop down list.
