I would second a request for 1920x1200 resolution! Thanks! |
| | | Re: Re: :) Jul 23 2007 on content Neutronium DeepBlack | Could you put that back up or possibly on one of those free image hosts?
I would also very much like that background but haven't seen your ftp up in the last week or two.
Cheers and thanks for the lovely theme,

| | | Re: I don't get it.. Sep 29 2005 on content chromicons | Another alternative reason than the good ones already mentioned would be that before the artist sinks the significant amount of needed time into building the whole icon set, he/she is presenting them incomplete to see what people think, if there are suggestions, likes or dislikes and just general feedback.
You list examples of things never provided unfinished but I will just reply to the first instead of all of them. Do you think inside the company Dell, that one single person puts together the machine from thought till finish ? Or does someone make suggestions, then a market analyst tests the configuration against market demands and expected revenue, adjustsments are made, and finally, if the machine is deemed financially sound, it is built and released.
That will apply to all your examples, and it applies to these icons.
If everyone was writing in saying the icons were ugly as sin, perhaps the artist wouldn't spend the time to continue them ? However the feedback seems generally positive for them so the artist now has more motivation I am sure to continue and eventually finish the set, if such a thing could ever be done. |
| | | Matchtasks broken? Feb 3 2005 on content KXDocker with REAL transpancy | I tried e-mailing but am not sure if it htit your spamfilter or you haven't had time to answer. Anyway please let me know if you got one or two e-mails last saturday signed g.d.
Meanwhile I have been testing 0.26 and the matchtasks is no longer working. What settings do I need to change to get this functionality back ?
Thanks for the great program and I will try and make some themes for you shortly. |
| | | About the HD icons Aug 27 2004 on content Cezanne Devices | I like the idea you have employed, however it looks very much to me like a cakebox spindle of CDs. If perhaps you added some hd reading heads in there or didn't make the case round it would look more HD like?
Also many of your icons go for photographical likeness which I think is lovely. Your HDs are an exception. Perhaps you could use your previous style for them as well. You could have a standard photographic rectangular HD with a window on top, showing a tux, winflag, globe etc... on the top platter through the window. I haven't seen anyone use that concept before for icons so you would still be original.

| | | Re: Re: Re: Re: suggestion Aug 13 2004 on content KNemo | To go along further with this suggestion you could allow icon themes.
To simplify the number of icons you could use something along these lines:
- ppp: phone
- network: cable
- wifi: tower with waves )))
Then incoming would be an arrow pointing down, outgoing would be an arrow pointing up. Disabled would be grayscale, enabled would be colour.
This would make it so you had only 3 icons really for each type only with small variations for the different states.

| | | Setting or bug ? Jul 31 2004 on content Baghira | I am not sure if this is a mistaken setting on my end or a bug. I just emerged baghira 0.4c (newest in portage) and all menus flicker/blink when they come up regardless of their behavior. I have tried two menu effects, the default Fade In and then Downscroll and they both exhibit this behavior:
a) Menu appears instantly likde KDE default.
b) A fraction of a second later the menu effect takes place overlaying a new menu on top.
If this is a bug, is it fixed in 0.4d, if it is a bad setting would you happen to know how I can fix it ?
Cheers and thanks for the continued marvelous efforts !

| | | Possibly an ebuild? Jul 31 2004 on content komposé | In your blog I see that rpm's are now generally available for everyone. Is there any chance for an ebuild for Gentoo ? And possibly getting this into portage ?
Thanks for the hard work, I look forward to trying this. Skippy works a bit spotty and slow for me, and now that I am using Xorg, if you used EliasP's suggestion of handling live screen updates like SkippyXD, it could even make your app better.
Vielen Dank, Merci Beaucoup, etc...

| | | Re: Re: umm Jun 26 2004 on content got nukes? | Not art ?! You are rather gonflé to exert your opinion of what art is on the entire kde-look.org population. Much like the person above who claims the "we", the USA, "invented" nukes, I feel you are broadcasting your opinion, in many aspects malformed and incorrect, on everyone else. So please go give Korea a regime change, or Iran or Saudi Arabia for that matter, all of whom are comiting many violations against humanity with the USA ignoring them, and realize that the one thing the USA did with nukes was have the sheer stupidity to use them.
Interesting wallpapers by the way; perhaps they will inspire some people to go back and read history, or rewritten history, and inform themselves of the good and bad deeds these people have done.
Keep up the good work,
