I think the iTools of iMovie, iPhoto, iDVD, iTunes are absolutely top-notch. Every KDE developer should try out Mac OS X for a month or so to get some fresh idea of just how far you can take integration.
My wife was a long-time Windows/Linux(KDE) user and has found her Mac (she does photography) to be simply one of the best business tools she has ever used. There was a premium price for that, but I must say that there are things about Mac OS X that I really envy.
If we as a community could bring that level of experience to computer users, it would truly be amazing.
It includes ONE app per purpose, but those apps really are top-notch and integrated together VERY VERY VERY well.
Like I said, desktop developers should at least TRY it for a month (if they have a way) just to shake out some fresh ideas on how to approach a completely integrated desktop solution. |

Where everyone is from somewhere else (my family, from Mexico on one side, from Ireland/Indian on the other) :) Our President starts war without thought. (ok, that's a really bad thing) :( We work like crazy and never get all those holidays off, like you Europeans. But, we all live in hope that our country will one day be everything we dreamed it would. :)

Don't really like it. Looks TOO worked up.
Application icons don't need to be complex, they need to be simple.
Plus, they need to be in a way that can be made into smaller versions as well.
It should also fit the upcoming default KDE icon set well.
This is just my opinion. |

You are right, I don't HAVE to ask permission, but I believe it cordial and proper to mention that you are doing it. I think it's fair to assume that we know what the GPL is :) |

I should note that I sent that email before we got the latest Crystal post which appears to have included alot of the crystal icons on ppl on kde-look.org have done. WONDERFUL! This is truly wonderful, now we just have to work on getting all the sizes for the various icons done. I promise to try and do some of this myself as well.
