The only thing I don't quite like is the three speakers left of the "ubuntustudio"-text. I understand what you're trying to do, but it doesnt really work since it breaks the general style of the rest of the wallpaper.
I would suggest a more simplistic icon, either the original ubuntu icon or something simple that normally associcated with studio-type applicances - say a "play"-button icon (simple arrow right).

Really? I didn't notice anything, not even on my rather low-end centrino laptop, running at 600mhz.
You could always crop the panel-background picture down a bit, you'll find it in ~/.themes/Darker Theme/gtk-2.0/Panel/panel-bg.png. Fire up the gimp and crop it down to a smaller size (both horizontally and vertically, to fit the height of your panels). :) |

Yeah,unfortunately those icons are out of my control... You'll have to file a bug to the gnome-panel developers. Only some of the panel-apps have transparent background. Wish I could do something about it. :( |

Hmm, how do you mean? It should work quite well just going into Applications > System Tools > Configuration Editor and changing apps > metacity > general > button layout to ":minimize,maximize,close" (without quotation).
Or did you mean a version where all three buttons are together like the minimize and maximize-buttons are laid out now?
